Conducting research is essential to brand and audience development. Research can take on many different formats, methods, and purposes.

My speciality within the area of research is ethnographic methodology, which can be applied to any and all types and scopes of research.

The research projects I have designed and conducted for the Southeast Library System aimed
to deepen the organization’s understanding of their primary audience of librarians.
A diverse methodology was utilized to draw conclusions and make recommendations
on how to establish greater engagement with that audience and draw out further
audience segments to strengthen communication with in the future.

Further research was proposed to gain information on cross-library communication between that segmented audience and the Southeast Library System. The proposal elaborated on how
this objective could be met by using the explanatory sequential method to engage
small-town librarians to gain qualitative and qualitative results and themes.
