Sheridan Parker is a strategic communication leader with more than 6 years of experience. Her specialties include analyzing communication strategies, designing audience and stakeholder campaigns, and creating branding assets.
With a comprehensive communication approach, Sheridan has designed digital and traditional communication campaigns to attract new audience segments. Sheridan is a writer with an interest in non-fiction, prose, and theoretical considerations. 

She recently designed a stakeholder campaign for the growing nonprofit, The Southeast Library System. The campaign leveraged various communication assets to establish the organization's reputation within their nonprofit community.
Sheridan received a double Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication Studies and English from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE. She obtained her Master of Arts (M.A.) in Strategic Communication at the University of Iowa. 

In her free time, Sheridan can be found knitting, writing fiction, and sipping tea.

Awards & Honors

  • 2018 Lambda Pi Eta inductee. Lambda Pi Eta (LPH) is the National Communication Association’s official honor society at four-year colleges and universities. LPH has more than 500 active chapters at four-year colleges and universities nationwide.

  • 2020 Phi Kappa Phi inductee. The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is an honor society established in 1897 to recognize and encourage superior scholarship without restriction as to area of study, and to promote the "unity and democracy of education". Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest, most selective, and most prestigious all-discipline honor society.

  • First Place Boatright Award for poem “The Floating Light”. In distinction, the Boatright Prizes are awarded to the best work published in each year’s issue of Flintlock, and all published work included in Flintlock is automatically considered for the Boatright Prizes. The Boatright awards are judged by members of the English, Theater, and Art Departments.

  • Winner of 2021 Student Life Leadership Award. Students are nominated by a student life staff member and selected by a committee of staff, faculty, and students in recognition of their consistent excellence and leadership across the areas of Student Life during their time at Nebraska Wesleyan.
